King Viserys Targaryen’s first child with his second wife, Lady Alicent Hightower. Some consider Aegon a preferable heir because he is King Viserys’ eldest male descendant. He is named after Aegon the Conqueror, the dragon-riding ruler who conquered most of Westeros and was crowned the first Lord of the Seven Kingdoms. Aegon is a popular Targaryen name — even “Game of Thrones’” Jon Snow’s true birth name is Aegon Targaryen.

A noble house of the Riverlands that holds fealty to House Tully. Their sigil is a tripartite of blue, red, and green converging around a fist on white field. Corlys, also known as Lord of the Tides, served as Viserys’ Master of Ships and commands the Royal Fleet. His younger brother, Ser Vaemond Velaryon, serves as commander of the Velaryon navy. However, after Viserys rejects marrying the 12-year-old Laena in favor of Alicent Hightower, Corlys leaves his post on the King’s Council and aligns himself with Daemon Targaryen in the war against the Triarchy. After the war, Viserys decides to marry Rhaenyra to Laenor to broker a political alliance with House Velaryon, which by then had taken over the Stepstones.

Premiere

To help you get a sense of where the show’s going, and what’s even happening in the trailer, here are the characters we’ve seen so far and where they’re at in the beginning of the story. “Game of Thrones” introduced audiences to the various houses, great and small, that populate the lands in and around Westeros — starting with the Targaryens, Starks, Baratheons and Lannisters. The concept for House of the Dragon was first pitched by George R.R. Martin in the summer of 2016,[35] with the working title The Dance of the Dragons.

Lord Commander of Viserys’ Kingsguard, in which he’s one of the longest serving members. Assigned as Rhaenerys’ sworn shield (think what Ser Jorah Mormont was to Daenerys). Barely mentioned in the book (a single sentence), so for all intents and purposes, Ser Harrold is a series-original character. Like Horovitch, McTavish is total Game Of Thrones cast material – although he’s had Outlander, The Witcher and the Hobbit movies to make do with while he waited. Also known as The Queen Who Never Was, Princess Rhaenys Velaryon was once called Rhaenys Targaryen before her marriage to Corlys Velaryon.

An old and powerful noble house whose ancestral home is in Oldtown — where the Citadel is located — in the region known as the Reach. The Hightowers are known for their wealth and are affiliated with the Tyrells, a house “Game of Thrones” fans are likely more familiar with. Second child of King Viserys Targaryen and Alicent Hightower. This season has also seen brief appearances by a few other Lannisters. The twins were joined at the royal hunt by their widowed mother Ceira and Brett, a relative whose exact connection to the family is unknown.

Lord Corlys Velaryon, aka "The Sea Snake," is the head of one of the most powerful families the House of Valeryon.

Like many of Westeros’ best schemers, Otto also served as Hand of the King during the rule of Viserys. Rhaenyra Targaryen is the oldest child of King Viserys and was born of his first wife, Aemma Arryn, and is his heir. Rhaenyra is supported by her uncle and later husband, Daemon Targaryen, as well as her former mother-in-law, Rhaenys Velaryon. Though she is supposed to be next in line for the throne, not everyone will support her claim. Unlike the original “Game of Thrones,” showrunners David Benioff and D.B.

Rhaenyra is played by two different actors over the course of "House of the Dragon" season one. In the first episode, she is about 14 years old and considered to be the "Realm's Delight" — a beloved princess of House Targaryen. Catch exclusive behind-the-scenes interviews with the cast and crew breaking down the series' biggest moments and the process behind creating its memorable sets. The “Dance of the Dragons” is the civil war that ensued between the Targaryens. Thrones fans may recall when young Shireen Baratheon and Ser Davos briefly discuss the battle as she reads a history book about it. If you want to see how that part of Targaryen history unfolds, you’ll have to keep an eye on House of the Dragon.

Their parents must have thought it was cute to give their offspring gendered versions of the same name. Since his mother arguably should have been Queen, he’s another Velaryon that could have been an eventual contender for the Iron Throne if not for the Great Council opting for Viserys. Of course, the final series will have a lot more characters than this, but for now, this is a pretty good starting point. The more politically minded Ser Tyland serves on King Viserys Targaryen’s council.

Rhaena Targaryen (portrayed by Phoebe Campbell as an adult and by Eva Ossei-Gerning as a younger Rhaena) is the younger daughter of Daemon and Laena and twin sister of Baela. Baela Targaryen (portrayed by Bethany Antonia as an adult and by Shani Smethurst as a younger Baela) is the eldest daughter of Daemon and Laena and twin sister of Rhaena. Proud descendants of the First Men, House Royce holds fealty to House Arryn and has a vassal of their own, House Tollett.

In the book, Alicent marries King Viserys when Princess Rhaenyra is 9, and they are initially close. Viserys’ Master of Ships, and a crafty and calculating politician. Corlys’ younger brother, and a commander in the Velaryon navy. In the books he’s Corlys’ nephew, so there’s some tweaks going on here in the screen adaptation, and he may be a conflation of more than one character.

The house is headed up by Lord Hobert Hightower, whose younger brother Ser Otto was Hand to King Viserys I Targaryen for much of his reign. It’s Otto who encourages his daughter Alicent to get close to the king after the death of his wife Aemma, leading to Alicent and Viserys’ marriage and their son Aegon. Though, as a result of Otto’s behind-the-scenes machinations, Viserys dismisses Otto as his Hand.

Her chance to ascend to the Iron Throne is ultimately scorched to bits. That said, the show also features characters adjacent to the Targaryens who become integral to the action, like Alicent Hightower, played by Olivia Cooke. Lord of Honeyholt and Master of Coin on King Viserys's small council. Had previously been Jaehaerys Targaryen’s Master of Coin, but took up the role again for Viserys when Daemon dropped it. The Lannisters we met in Game Of Thrones (Tywin, Cersei, Jaime, etc) are Jason’s direct descendants. The daughter of Corlys and Rhaenys, and older sister of Laenor.

His youngest son is the quiet schemer Larys Strong, and the oldest is Ser Harwin Strong, who is often called Breakbones and known as the strongest man in the Seven Kingdoms. They stumble upon a police deputy, who escorts them back to the house. He informs them the woman is in fact their mother—whom they were led to believe was dead—who has recently escaped from a psychiatric hospital in Jamestown, and is dangerous.

I still don’t understand some of the pivotal scenes from within the movie but more importantly, I don’t care. These are the cheesy Saturday morning/after school special gangsters that only wear all black, wear bandannas and have big thick silver chains hanging over their clothes at all times. I can’t understand why they seemed to wear the same wardrobe despite time passing in the movie and I can’t understand their circumstantial motives. They are a plot device that is reflective of the caricature of the black american thug.

There’s a big family in a big house, some scenes that take place in a church, a singing choir, and more. And a lot of positive messages delivered to the audience about self awareness, self worth, and family. This falls into the Good category because it’s genuinely refreshing to enjoy a film that doesn’t take place in a completely urban setting. As the Sacketts leave, David sneaks into the attic, where his grandfather follows him. David escapes onto the roof of the house, accidentally severing the house's phone line in the process. Moments later, Kenny arrives to take Lynn on a date, leaving David alone at home with his grandparents.

The woman viciously stabs the deputy to death, and the children flee into the garage and escape in the truck, as the woman clings to the side. They manage to throw her from the truck as they speed through the orchard before the car dies, leaving them stranded on foot. The woman manages to start the truck, and begins chasing the children through the grove. A teenager and her step-brothers are forced to move in with Grandma.

The acting from everyone not named Grandma is painfully inconsistent. A lot of the cast leans on Loretta to lead the scene when she shares a scene and moments without her suffer for her lack of participation. There are a lot of moments that seem OVER acted and some where the actors seem incapable of emoting. I give a slight pass to the over acting when someone is inebriated as that could be an intentional part of the performance but those moments pull me out of the immersion of the film. As someone raised in their Grandma’s house I totally get the concept of young parents unloading their kids on their parents while they deal with something. Loretta could write the book on playing a portly southern woman with good Christian values. Seeing her take her talents and apply them to a grandma figure is unexpectedly appropriate for her talents. There are a few moments where she steals a scene and had me bursting in laughter.

While driving in the orchard, Kenny and Lynn get the car stuck after running over an old pipe drain. David confronts Lynn in the garage, where they find the woman seated in their grandparents' large truck, handcuffed to the steering wheel. David is shocked to find the woman is still alive, and she explains she is being kept prisoner, and that she came to warn the children about the dangers of living in their grandparents' house. They manage to undo the woman's handcuffs, after which she begins to attack David. Fleeing after the explosion, David runs back to his grandparents' home, where he witnesses them burning clothing and dragging a woman's body into the cellar. Upon sneaking into the cellar, David finds the woman's corpse stuffed in a refrigerator—the same woman he saw at the swim competition.

During their first night, David has a nightmare about his grandfather killing a woman. Grandma’s house plays out like the old film ‘Soul Food’ mixed in with some Tyler Perry’s Madea without the charisma or comedy of Madea. Grandma’s House has a  story that is predictable and derivative of a bunch of other films leaving little to the imagination. You know how this movie will progress from the beginning and there’s no twists or surprises along the way to spice things up. The predictability is slightly believable and the reason that the ideas are derivative is because they are based on common truths.

In the pool, Lynn meets Kenny, who takes romantic interest in her. When they return home, they find the police gathered near the property, removing the corpse of the man from a pond. That afternoon, a family barbecue is held at the house with the Sacketts and their children, Raymond and Darlene. While exploring the surrounding orange orchards with Raymond, David is told that a woman was allegedly murdered inside the tunnel of an irrigation ditch, and that her body was stuffed behind the stone wall. What does it mean that zeal for your house will consume me in John 2:17?

zeal for your house will consume me

For the zeal of your house has eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached you are fallen on me. And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of your house has eaten me up. 22 Therefore, when He had risen from the dead, (I)His disciples remembered that He had said this [c]to them; and they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had said. Jesus Clears the Temple Courts(A)

23Now while he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Festival, many people saw the signs he was performing and believed in his name.d 24But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all people. 25He did not need any testimony about mankind, for he knew what was in each person. Jesus Cleanses the Temple(A)

It’s not as straightforward as the traditional home-buying process, but if you don’t mind a project, it’s an alternative entry into a market that can be brutally expensive. Realtor.com’s system seems a bit more equitable, and a simple ZIP Code search will show how many homes an agent has listed and how many that person has sold. You can also search by credentials; for example, you can see only agents who’ve received certifications such as “Real Estate Negotiation Expert” or “At Home With Diversity,” two of many distinctions awarded by the National Assn. of Realtors. For the casual shopper, these sites are a fun jaunt into the market, a voyeuristic way to spend an afternoon. But to the grizzled veteran who loved and lost, the one who has been outbid countless times, scrolling through listings becomes work. At this point, you’ll want to find the fastest, most efficient way to narrow your search.

The change of tense, from the past of the Psalmist to the future here, is itself significant. The words were true of the inner burning which consumed the prophet-priest.

Of course, the number is only as good as the data behind it, so it’s far from foolproof. But the concept helped make it the most popular real estate search engine by far. Wherever you are in your home-buying journey, it makes sense to start online, where you can browse hundreds of homes in the same time it would take to tour a single open house.

FSBO.com — which stands for For Sale By Owner — cuts out real estate agents altogether and connects buyers and sellers directly. There’s more risk, but if you’re looking to save money and work directly with a seller, this site makes the most sense. Realtor.com functions as a search engine both for homes and real estate agents. The real estate giant pioneered the concept of an instant home value estimate with the Zestimate, which pairs public data with user-provided information to put a price tag on any property.

Mingle with monsters and Marilyn at the Munster Mansion, a perfect replica of the fictional family's house

the munsters house

Officials say the boy's siblings were at school at the time of the fire. "Any loss of life is terrible for us, but when you talk about a child, it's really hard. That's the hardest thing there is," Munster Fire Chief Mark Hajduk said. He saw the boy's mother screaming in the driveway that her son was still inside. The actual structure stands on Colonial Street in Universal Studios Hollywood, the scene of many other TV shows. But, if you want to see a home that still looks like the Munster family mansion, then you can head to Waxahachie, TX.

(The episode is available on the first season of The Munsters DVDs.) It never aired, but the script was reused as the basis for Episode 2, "My Fair Munster". The cast in the title sequence included Joan Marshall as Phoebe (instead of Lily), Beverley Owen as Marilyn, Nate "Happy" Derman as Eddie, Al Lewis as Grandpa and Fred Gwynne as Herman. Although the same house exterior was used, it was later changed to appear spookier for the series.

Stunning Photos from the 1970s in Toronto Showing Street Scenes and Everyday Life

But though "The Munsters" continues to be beloved by the general public, there remains an untold truth of this franchise, which includes everything from behind-the-scenes facts about the original series to various abandoned attempts to revive the property for the 21st century. Even if you feel like you know "The Munsters" well enough that Eddie Munster feels like your own sibling, the untold truth of "The Munsters" will still provide you with plenty of unexpected delights. Gold Key Comics produced a Munsters comic book that ran for 16 issues from 1965 to 1968 and featured photo covers from the TV series.

The Munster Mansion

The iconic home of "The Munsters" at 1313 Mockingbird Lane was not just filmed anywhere. Keeping with the Universal Monsters theme, exterior shots were filmed on Stage 12 of the Universal Hollywood backlot, while Stages 30 and 32 were used for interior shots. Before the McKees built their own Munster Mansion, they had no idea how popular the show still was—with people of all ages.

Life Without Light: Creatures in the Dark With Sarah McAnulty

However, a decision was made between the filming of the pilot and the eventual premiere of the series that resulted in the rest of "The Munsters" being filmed in a monochromatic hue. This turned into a memorable visual facet of the show, but it's still one wrapped in mystery. A television film titled Here Come the Munsters aired in 1995, and The Munsters' Scary Little Christmas was released in 1996. The house then fell into a state of severe disrepair and by 1987 was unable to be used for the original TV pilot of The Munsters Today.

You need to make something as distinct and unique in the modern pop culture landscape as the original "Munsters" was when it first took to the airwaves. In prepping his reboot of the "Munsters," titled "Mockingbird Lane," Bryan Fuller, the man behind TV shows like "Pushing Daisies" and "Hannibal," was well aware of this fact and carried several specific ideas on how to revamp "The Munsters" for 21st century viewers. One can’t speak about The Munsters without mentioning the iconic Munster mansion. The house, located at 1313 Mockingbird Lane, was as much a character in the show as the Munsters themselves.

Can You Stay in Munster Mansion?

In October 2011, the series was picked up by Cartoon Network's sister channel Boomerang and ran through the entire month of October that year for Halloween along with The Addams Family. It costs $110 per guest and includes a mansion tour, drinks, and murder mystery entertainment. But most of all, there was a theme of love and acceptance that rang throughout the episodes. They were beloved sitcom characters on the TV show “The Munsters” from 1964 to 1966. After 11 years, they decided that living in a re-created TV set wasn’t all that comfortable. Sandra cooked every meal in the laundry room, since a new-age stove didn’t belong in her Munsters kitchen.

In Phoenix, Arizona, you can find a fine example of the Queen Anne Victorian style. The Rosson House, built in 1895, is a museum showcasing the architecture and features of historic homes from this era. This is where Sandra and Charles McKee have recreated a complete replica of the famous mansion. The couple designed the home by watching the television show and paying attention to every detail. You can arrange tours of the house and also attend special murder mystery events. The actual home used in the Munsters TV show still stands today, but it looks a lot different.

Appearing almost exactly as the set house did on television, the only difference is that this Texan version appears newer. The ultimate goal of the McKees, however, is for the house to look just as it did in the show. The exterior is to be painted darker, aged, and distressed in order to achieve the decayed look of the original Munster Mansion. With a little more age and dust, the two homes will be nearly indistinguishable.

A family is grieving after a toddler died and his parents were injured following a house fire Monday in Northwest Indiana. The couple’s three other children were at school at the time of the fire. According to a GoFundMe set up for the family, both Lee and Slawinski were injured trying to rescue Mack. MUNSTER, Ind. (CBS) -- A child died in a house fire in Munster, Indiana, on Monday. “They went running into the house and grabbed the husband and pulled him out,” Bo Wojtowich said.

However, the outlet observed that it was on syndication where "The Munsters" gained a second wind that ensured it would stick around in the pop culture consciousness. Reruns of old episodes proved so popular that they inspired a series of TV specials, a revival of "The Munsters" in the 1980s, and several attempts at translating "The Munsters" into a theatrical movie. All these developments serve as evidence of the power syndication used to have over determining a TV show's long-term fate with viewers. Such a universal truism helps explain why the central concept of "The Munsters," a 1960s TV program chronicling the exploits of a family whose individual members largely looked like movie monsters, resonated so deeply with general audiences.

Witnesses reported the child’s father was injured while trying to save his son. Neighbor Robert Wojtowich recalled seeing the boy’s mother screaming “my baby's gone” in the driveway of their home. He said the child’s father ran back inside after realizing his son had not escaped. Mullens' townhome was connected to that of the victims in the fire, and she too witnessed the boy's father trying to save his son. The child's parents were taken to a hospital for smoke inhalation with minor to moderate burns, officials said. Speculation around the beloved Victorian house has been circulating the internet but it is refreshing to see that Zombie is dedicated to the sitcom's original design.

McKee owns one from the movie Munster Go Home, but says she’d “sell nearly everything” she owns to have just one from the series. Constructed in a Gothic Victorian style, the house stands on a property enclosed by a stone wall and the yard is full of weeds and dead trees. It's a nine-room mansion with one bathroom, secret passages and doorways. Adjacent by a trap door in the parlor, the unusually deeper cellar has been converted into a Laboratory. The structure seems to have been built on a Spanish prison that once held Morgan the Pirate, whose treasure was found in the backyard.
